Shortmail Me! Widget

Thanks for your interest in the Shortmail Me! widget. This allows you, the web site owner, to place a button on your site allowing visitors to send you a Shortmail directly from your web page.

Paste the following code into your webpage, and edit YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS to be your Shortmail email address:

The button will be placed inside the div with class shortmail-compose-widget. You can choose to include the widget script tags at the bottom of the body for best performance.

Notes:

The button will be appended to the bottom of all divs with class shortmail-compose-widget.
You must pass the version number in the script url. The current version is 1.
screenName is required
more configuration parameters may be added in the future

Known Issues:

Multiple language support is planned - please tell us your preferred language (Shortmail Me!)

Invoke directly with JavaScript:

If you want the widget on your page, but you don't like the style of the Shortmail Me! button, you can invoke the compose window directly from a link. Here is an example:

Feel free to invoke the compose window using Shortmail.showWindow(), and edit the link to match the style of your site. Please, do us one favor, and leave the word "Shortmail" (capitalized) in the text of the link. "Shortmail Me", "Send me a Shortmail", "Send a Shortmail to YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS" are all good choices for link text! Send a Shortmail to jonathanjulian
